Business Consultant/ Sales Representative - Wellington Based

We are looking for an extremely passionate, enthusiastic and talented individual to work as our Business Consultant/Sales Representative for Wellington, the Lower North Island, Marlborough and Nelson. This is a really diverse role in the beauty industry that provides all sorts of opportunities for the right candidate.

The key objective of this position is to grow market share on your territory through improving sales performance of our existing customers, and secondly to develop new relationships with prospective accounts, to convert these into new accounts.

• Servicing existing Skin Centres through training, events and regular contact via phone and face to face meetings for all of our brands
• Account management for Dermalogica Retail locations by training, events and regular meetings
• Meeting targets for number of new business meetings, quotes and new account openings
• Developing and maintaining a new retail sector in the pharmacy channel
• Some additional activities that take place outside of those mentioned above: attending training courses & meetings, admin & reporting, travel and overnight trips.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar account manager role
• Beautician or Beauty Therapy Diploma
• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience (professional beauty and/or retail)

Account Management Skills
• Business conversations to include setting purchase and retail targets, purchase history and inventory control
• Identifying opportunities for all of our brands
• Market knowledge of competing brands

Skin and Beauty Skills
• Passion and knowledge of the skin with a professional qualification in skin care)
• Interested in training for skincare and retailing objections
• Running successful events – organising and meeting KPI's around events
• Passion for styling brows

Retail Skills
• Proven retailing ability
• Merchandising and upsell of marketing initiatives and promotions

The role is Wellington based and involves travel around the lower North Island as well as Marlborough and Nelson. The position reports directly in to the National Sales Manager. Competitive remuneration package + company vehicle.
