what kind of acne do I have?

what kind of acne do I have?

Got a breakout? Knowing what kind it is will help you choose the right product or treatment so you can get rid of it faster without compromising your skin's health.

Keep reading to check out our handy guide to common forms of acne - and how to treat them.

Blackheads

Open, dark, small, common in the t-zone

To treat use a mask with kaolin clay or sulfur (Blackhead Clearing Fizz mask is our go to!), and regular chemical exfoliation, and avoid comedogenic (pore clogging) products.

Whiteheads

Small white/yellow bumps, no redness

To treat use a leave-on spot treatment with Salicylic Acid (to deep clean pores) and niacinamide (to brighten any post-breakout marks) twice a day.

Pustules

Pink or red, swollen bumps with white/yellow tops

Spot treat religiously! We love our Breakout Clearing Booster. Then cover with a hydrocolloid bandage and let it work it's magic.

Papules

Pink or red, no pus or head

Repeat after us: don't squeeze! It's not ready, reach for that spot treatment twice a day.

Nodules

Bumpy, hard lump, swollen red areas of pustules or papules

To treat apply Salicylic Acid regularly, and speak to a Professional Skin Therapist

Cysts

Large, painful bumps with no visible pus
